It was most of our colleagues’ thoughts of going on a long ride. And Praveen, Puneeth & Girish decided a date and place to go on for a long ride on bikes. In the beginning it was decided as B R Hills, but later on the plans changed & since it was the month of November Coorg is the best place to visit, so cool, so much of greenery wherever we see.
Praveen (The Bond) took the lead & totally 12 members gathered near office around 7.30 in the morning & we started the trip. The places selected were Golden Temple at Kushalanagar & Dubare forest, near to Kaveri Nisargadhama. We started towards Hunsur main road from Bogadhi Ring road. All were fully packed up with jackets, hand gloves, helmets and goggles.
All were in full josh & suddenly on reaching the Highway all started riding the bikes on a speed of above 90 km/hr. We had planned to have our breakfast at Hunsur but few of our friends passed Hunsur in full speed & we stopped them at Periapattana to have our breakfast.
We reached the Golden Temple around 10:30 AM & had a good time & spent around 1 hour there chatting, & taking some snaps. From there Dubare forest was again 20 Km (approx) ahead & we packed some snacks items. The road to Dubare forest from the main road is not so good but we all rode the bike as though we are in a dirt race. We took a motor boat & reached the other end of the river as it was dangerous to cross the river. There were many other tourists some playing on the river beds, some adventurous guys went on river rafting etc. We all took few more snaps with the elephants & went to swim. Dubare forest is the place of training elephants caught in various parts. These elephants are used for forest Safari & some take part in the world famous Mysore Dasara. We spent almost 3 hours in the Dubare forest & returned back to Kushalnagar for having lunch. It was around 5.30 in the evening we came for lunch & all were very hungry. On the way to Mysore we had coffee at the Coorg Cafe & reached Mysore around 8:30 PM.
Really it was an excellent outing & more than that we had a thrilling ride on bikes. The lush green forest was very much made us speechless in front of the nature.
